My parents came to the lake in 1966 and built their cottage in the Narrows. We are the second generation here and hope to carry on the tradition for generations to come.
My wife, Sue, and my two boys have lifelong memories here. The cottage is an important part of getting our family together on a regular basis. We look forward to cottage long weekends when everyone can be here together and enjoy the lake.
I spent 25 years with Sears Canada until 2006 when I became an independent consultant focused on customer experience. I have been fortunate enough to travel North America, Europe, and Asia for my work, but I breathe a great sigh of relief every time I get back to the cottage. For Sue, an oil painter, the pristine, peaceful setting is perfect for creating many scenes from around the lake which have been shared with collectors around the world.
My father (Gord) was a SDRA board member for years and it is now my turn to offer support. I look forward to meeting those that call this home, or those that can only be here once in a while. I am eager to participate with the team in providing support and giving back to the community that has given so much to our family.”
