In a previous email, about the AGM, we made reference to two agenda items to take note of. Further information on these agenda items is provided below. 

We are making recommendations for amendments to the SDRA Constitution, the details of these changes can be found by visiting the website. These amendments include allowing the Board to hold online meetings. The current provincial emergency legislation allows for this already, but once the emergency order is lifted, we would be unable to hold online meetings without a amendment to the Constitution. Additional changes include the removal of gender pronouns, so as not to exclude any one person based on their gender expression. 

The second agenda item to take note of is the proposed Donation By-law. This By-law will provide direction to the Board in the way that it handles donations of monetary and non-monetary value, of which the Board has received offers of both. This By-law will provide a consistent approach to such donations and provide donors with clear expectations of donation treatment. This is being proposed to continue with the Board’s intention to maintain transparent financial records. The draft By-law can be found by visiting the website.
