Hwy 41 between Kaladar and Erinsville will be closed from Sunday, August 23, 2020 at 7 pm until Friday, August 28, 2020 at 7 pm. There will be a significant detour through Tweed and Marlbank. This will be inconvenient at best but also could be a major problem during a medical emergency where the Napanee Hospital would be our usual destination. Three alternatives have been proposed. Perth Hospital, Renfrew Hospital or Belleville General Hospital. We have pasted the message from Jim Klaver, Supervisor, Roads & Bridges, County of Lennox & Addington as written to Deb Mosey and the map below.
SDRA Board
Hi Deb,
From the Bon Echo Provincial Park gate North will go to Renfrew Hospital.
Lennox & Addington Paramedic Services has reviewed the County Rd 41 closure with the Kingston Central Ambulance Communications Centre (KCACC) and determined that the following destinations will be used during the road closure period to provide the best response:
From south of the Bon Echo Park main gate to the north limit of the road closure site would go to Perth Hospital
- Bon Echo Park and North of the main park gate would go to Renfrew Hospital
- West of Kaladar of would go to Belleville General Hospital
- Closest Stroke Centre is Belleville General Hospital
- South of the closure site would go to Napanee or Kingston depending on patient condition
KCACC will also be utilizing air ambulance when needed and possible. The Northbrook Helipad and Sharbot Lake Helipad would be utilized.
I trust this information addresses your concern.
Sincerely,
Jim Klaver
