It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Edward Michael Koehler on Saturday April 19, 2025.
Born in London, Ontario on May 21, 1951. Son of Jack and Audrey, brother to John, Patricia and Geraldine. Uncle to Adrian (Rick), Quinn (Brenda), John (Kelly), Mary (Marcel).
Beloved husband of Cathy. Beloved Father to Ben (Tammy), Greg (Carrie), Richard (Lisa), Darrin (Alexis), Chris (Jessica), Brandon, Danielle (Josh). Beloved Poppa to Jaxon, Luke, Lilly, Dickson, Abigail, Nolan, Finley, Marley, Mitchell, Mya, Tabitha, Caleb, Carter.
He loved his family, his dogs, all things Skootamatta Lake, hockey, baseball, trying exotic foods while forcing us to try it and socializing over a cold beer.
He will always be remembered for his strong presence, stoic demeanour, light hearted humour and selflessness to family.
He had a profound impact on his children and countless others. Those that he coached all those years in hockey and baseball, those that he and our mother took into their (already full) house when times got tough, friends in the neighbourhood we grew up in and anyone else who had the pleasure of getting to know our Dad, the man with the many monikers…..Mr. K, Coach K, Special Ed, Steady Eddie, Eduardo, Sleddy Eddie, Fast Eddie, Ed Kohhler, Dad and Poppa.
He was a special man who will be dearly missed.
