The Lake Festival will be held this year on Saturday, August 12th, at Trails End.
There are events for everyone and we expect a large turnout this year.
The day will start with a 5 KM run, from Trails End, down Oborne Point Rd. and back. Registration for the 5KM run only will start at 9:30 am and the race will start at 9:45 am. Due to the large turnout last year, we have added a separate men and woman age category, 16 to 39 years old.
Registration for all other events will start at 10 am. The children's events will be ready by 10:30 am and the races will start at 11:00 am.
Please bring a kayak if you have one available to share with others when not used by your family. Please, no racing kayaks to keep things more equal.
The grand finale event of the Tri-Generational try-athlon is a must see. If you would like to participate but do not have a full team, mix and mingle on the day and find your missing teammate.
The barbeque will again be hosted by the Stevens Family supplied by their business Country Traditions, located in Napanee. We are very fortunate to have them as members and to benefit from their generosity.
We will update members in the event of rain. We will hold the festival in drizzling rain but cancel or postpone the festival in the event of a thunderstorm.
***We still need additional help to run the children's events in order to give our volunteers a break during the day and to watch their own children participate. This is a great opportunity for high school age youth to obtain volunteer hours! If you or your teenager are able to help, please contact Nancy Kallina at firstname.lastname@example.org or 613-336-9929, or cell 416-770-6191.***
Looking forward to seeing loads of people and let's pray for sunshine!
