Lake Festival & Pot Luck

Lake Festival (August 12)
The Lake Festival is only a few days away! This has become a highlight for many on the lake with lots of games, swimming races and kayak races for kids and adults. And a great lunch. Show up and have fun.
The day will start with a 5 KM run, from Trails End, down Oborne Point Rd. and back. Registration for the 5KM run only will start at 9:30 am and the race will start at 9:45 am. Due to the large turnout last year, we have added a separate men and woman age category, 16 to 39 years old.
Registration for all other events will start at 10 am. The children's events will be ready by 10:30 am and the races will start at 11:00 am.
Please bring a kayak if you have one available to share with others when not used by your family. Please no racing kayaks to keep things more equal.
The grand finale event of the Tri-Generational try-athlon is a must see. If you would like to participate but do not have a full team, mix and mingle on the day and find your missing teammate.
The barbeque will again be hosted by the Stevens Family supplied by their business Country Traditions, located in Napanee. We are very fortunate to have them as members and to benefit from their generosity.
We will update members in the event of rain. We will hold the festival in drizzling rain but cancel or postpone the festival in the event of a thunderstorm.
We still need additional help to run the children events in order to give our volunteers a break during the day and to watch their own children participate. This is a great opportunity for high school age youth to obtain volunteer hours. If you or your teenager are able to help, please contact Nancy Kallina at nancy.kallina@gmail .com or 613-336-9929, or cell 416-770-6191.
Pot Luck (August 12)
Once again Ron Nowell and Esther Demszak will be hosting the Pot Luck. This is the 15th year that Ron and Esther have done it. All are welcome. It starts at 3:00 pm. Bring a food item for the table. They are at 1191 Hughes Landing Rd. Lots of parking for cars and a fair amount of beach parking for boats.
This year being Canada 150 we will have a Red & White theme for the Pot Luck. Wear your best Canadiana outfits. Bring Canadian food items. Let's make this a sea of Red & White!
Ladder Golf will be set up for all to participate in. Register at 3:00 pm. The games start at 3:30 pm.
