Fireworks & Food Bank Donations
Aug 30, 2017
The Labour Day weekend means the end of summer for many of us as we get the kids ready for school. It also means our annual Fireworks Display. This year we have an extra special display for you. This being Canada 150 we put more attention into the Canada Day Boat Parade and into the Fireworks display. Many members sent additional money to the Fireworks fund to celebrate Canada 150 including a very nice donation from Harold England's family. Thank you everyone for your kind donations.
So, now we have a Canada 150 Fireworks display to look forward to! Get out on your docks or bring your boat to the Causeway on Saturday at 8:30 pm sharp. This is always a great way to wind down the summer and a great way to celebrate Canada 150.
Once again we will be doing a Food Drive for the local Food Bank. If you are closing up your cottage this weekend please bring your extra non-perishable food items to the corner of Hwy 41 and Skootamatta Lake Road (south end) where we will have bings set up. Even if you are not closing your cottage this weekend, please bring some non-perishable food items anyway! The bins will be checked regularly throughout the weekend. All donations are greatly appreciated as there is always a need at the local Food Bank.
See everyone Saturday!
